Police identify pedestrian killed in crash on Lucks Lane in Chesterfield

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The Chesterfield County Police Department has identified the pedestrian who was killed in a crash on Lucks Lane on Friday morning .

According to police, the pedestrian has been identified as 31-year-old Katherine D. Anderson of Chesterfield. Police say Anderson lived about a mile from where the crash took place.

At around 8:19 a.m. on Friday, April 26, the driver of a 2019 Volkswagen Sedan was heading west on Lucks Lane when they struck the driver of a 2012 Toyota sedan who was making a left turn onto Spirea Lane.

The Volkswagen went off the right side of the roadway and struck Anderson, who was on the sidewalk. Anderson was taken to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

This incident is still under investigation, anyone with information is asked to call Chesterfield Police at 804-748-1251.
