    37-year-old man dies in crash on I-295 in Chesterfield County, Virginia State Police investigates

    CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Virginia State Police are investigating a deadly crash in Chesterfield County.

    At 12:23 a.m. on Monday, April 29, police responded to a crash involving one car, that resulted in a death on the exit ramp.

    According to police, the crash took place on the exit ramp from Eastbound Route 10 to Southbound Interstate 295 in Chesterfield County.

    Authorities said 37-year-old Christopher Jamel Valentine of Midlothian was driving a 2012 Toyota Camry and ran off the road to the left, hitting multiple trees.

    Valentine died of his injuries on the scene of the crash, according to police, he was not wearing a seatbelt.

    This crash remains under investigation by Virginia State Police.
