    Ashland County Athlete of the Week Poll: April 22-27

    Vote now for the candidates in the Ashland Times-Gazette Athlete of the Week poll.

    The performances in the poll are from April 22 to April 27. The poll will run from 10 a.m. Monday to 10 a.m. Wednesday. Winners will be announced at the end of the week.

    Below are some of the the top performances from this past week:

    Athlete of the Week candidates

    Chesnie Patton, Crestview softball

    Patton did her thing at the plate and with her arm in Crestview's 15-1 away win over Western Reserve on Friday. Patton had nine strikeouts, gave up five hits and one run in earning a complete game win. She also went 2 for 3, hit one homerun, one double, scored two runs and drove in three RBIs.

    Madison Rowland, New London softball

    Rowland had two homeruns, three RBIs, two hits and scored three runs in New London's 9-0 away win over Lucas on Friday.

    Luke Bryant, Ashland baseball

    In Ashland's 11-1 home win against West Holmes on Tuesday, Bryant had five RBIs and four hits, while also earning the win as the starting pitcher (eight strikeouts, one run, three hits, one walk in five innings) on 73 total pitches (52 strikes).

    Laci Huber, Hillsdale softball

    In Hillsdale's 17-1 home win over Waynedale on Tuesday, Huber connected on four RBIs, two hits, one homerun and scored one run.

    Gaby Cuber, Northwestern softball

    Cuber drove in two runs, had three hits, scored one run and hit one homer in Northwestern's 10-0 home win over Rittman on Wednesday.
