• Warming back up Wednesday

P LANNING TH E NEXT 24 HOURS: Showers will slowly end from Madison and areas south later Monday night. Low temperatures will be seasonably cool in the 40s. Poor air quality conditions from wildfire smoke should improve after midnight. Skies will eventually turn partly sunny on Tuesday, with breezy and cool conditions. Temperatures may be just cold enough Tuesday night for some patchy frost, especially for areas north and east of Madison.

EXTENDE D FO RECAST: Temperatures will warm up a bit by Wednesday, with storm chances returning by late Wednesday night. The best chance of showers and storms this week will come later Thursday into Friday as temperatures warm back up into the lower 70s. The next best chance of showers and storms following the ones late in the work week, look to arrive next Sunday afternoon and night, but not after a warm weekend, with high temperatures near or above 80 degrees.
