Multiple lanes closed on I-64 in Henrico due to tractor-trailer crash

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Multiple lanes are closed on a section of Interstate 64 in Henrico due to a tractor-trailer crash, which took place near the same area a multi-vehicle crash had occurred earlier Sunday.

On Sunday, April 28 at 9:53 p.m., the west center lane, right lane and right shoulder were closed on I-64 near Oakleys Lane due to a tractor-trailer crash.

The tractor-trailer crash took place after a multi-vehicle crash had previously closed all west lanes in the same area at 8:04 p.m. Sunday, which had caused about two miles of traffic backups.

According to a spokesperson for Virginia State Police, the multi-vehicle crash involved two vehicles, with two people transported to the hospital with “no major injuries.” The cause of the crash is not known at this time.
