Head-on crash near Silver Dollar City sends two to hospital

STONE COUNTY, Mo. — Two people were taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle collision near Silver Dollar City Sunday.

According to the Southern Stone County Fire Protection District (SSCFPD), the crash occurred on eastbound Highway 76 west of Indian Point Road at around 12:42 p.m.

A crash report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident happened due to a 2017 Dodge Ram 1500 crossing the center lane of the roadway and crashing right into a 2003 Dodge Durango.

The driver and the occupant in the Dodge Durango were taken by ambulance to the Cox Hospital in Branson with moderate and minor injuries respectively. Both vehicles suffered substantial damage from the accident.

The SSCFPD, Missouri State Police and Mercy Ambulance were all dispatched to the scene.
