American rapper Janae Nierah Wherry, better known as “Sexyy Red,” entertained an energetic crowd at the IM Fields Friday night as part of the Movin’ On music festival, performing ahead of headliner and alternative artist Dayglow.

As the stage lights brightened, attendees rushed to the stage as Sexyy Red stepped out ready to show the crowd a good time. The rapper, best known for her hit “SkeeYee” and her feature on Drake’s “For All The Dogs” hit “Rich Baby Daddy,” opened with “Booty Meat,” hyping up the crowd for her set.

Sexyy Red followed with “Hellcats SRTs” from her 2023 album “Hood Hottest Princess,” along with “Shake Yo Dreads” and “Female Gucci Mane,” also from the album.

After her first few songs, Sexyy Red’s DJ said to the crowd, “Penn State if you’re having a good time make some noise,” prompting the crowd to cheer and chant “get it sexy.” Naturally, she then performed “Get It Sexyy,” enhancing the crowd’s energy, followed by “I Don’t Wanna Be Saved” and “I’m The Shit.”

Sexxy Red lived up to her name throughout the performance, showing Penn State how to “get sexy.”

Her set continued with “Bow Bow Bow (F My Baby Dad),” “Mad At Me,” and “FTCU,” all of which energized the crowd as she twerked toward the audience.

After performing her hit “Shake Sumn,” Sexyy Redd shouted out to crowd, “Hit the lights, bitch.” She then asked, “Where the hoes at?” following with the crowd chanting, “Shake that ass hoe,” before singing “Looking For The Hoes (Ain’t My Fault).”

Preceding arguably the most anticipated song of the night, the DJ said to the crowd, “If you fuck with Sexyy Red and wanna vote her for president say ‘SkeeYee.'”

Sexyy Red then performed her most well-known hit “SkeeYee,” hyping up the crowd as it sang and danced along. Shortly after, she sang her other most anticipated song “Rich Baby Daddy.”

Before abruptly exiting the stage, Sexyy Red started to explain her last song of the night.

“This song got me out of the trenches. Get loud,” Sexyy Red said.

As she started dancing and singing into the microphone, Paramore’s “Ain’t It Fun” started blasting through the speakers, causing Sexyy Red to end her performance unexpectedly.

Although her set was cut short, it’s safe to say Sexyy Red brought great vibes and energetic songs to this year’s Movin’ On.
