Today: W e're seeing a few showers popping up over the Ochoco-John Day Highlands and along parts of the Northern Blues and W allowas . Some areas along the east slopes of the Cascades have already gotten a little bit of rain. Temperatures will be normal for this time of year: mid to high 60s in lower areas, mid to upper 50s in the middle, and low to mid 40s up high.

Tonight, w e’ll see low temperatures in the 40s for most of the lower elevations.

Thunderstorm Possibility: The models suggest there's a chance for some pulse thunderstorms over the eastern mountains today. It's not a big chance, only around 20-30%, but keep an eye out, especially in Grant County where the chances might be a bit higher.

Weekend Outlook: As we head into the weekend, the weather pattern is shifting. A low-pressure system is moving off towards the southwest, and another trough is coming from the Gulf of Alaska. This means more westerly winds and a chance for cooler temperatures. There might even be some snow along Snoqualmie Pass by Sunday. Wind-wise, we're looking at gusts around 30 mph or more, especially through the Cascade Gaps and other exposed areas.
