Milling, paving operations to close inside lanes of FM 1882

ECTOR COUNTY, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – The Texas Department of Transportation will be closing a portion of FM 1882 as crews continue to rework the existing road surface.

TxDOT said, starting Monday, the inside lanes and the center turning lane of FM 1882 will be closed between Interstate 20 and Business Interstate 20, as crews work to continue milling and paving in the area. This work is expected to last for about five days.

This project is part of a larger project, which is expected to finish by mid-November, to rework the existing roadway, improve the riding surface, and increase the safety of FM 1882 between BI-20 and 0.1 miles west of US Highway 385 in Ector County.

Drivers are being asked to expect delays during this time and use caution while driving through the work zone.
