HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Officials say a contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) will begin a project to repaving KY 140 in Daviess County beginning on April 30. Work is expected to last for just over two weeks.

Officials with the KYTC say KY 140 will be getting a new coat of asphalt between Nalley Road at the 6.2-mile marker and the intersection with US 231 at the 10-mile marker.

According to the KYTC, the contractor will begin placing road signage on April 30, then start the process of addressing base issues, milling edges and working on shoulders. Paving is scheduled to get underway on May 10. Work should take place between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily.

Officials with the KYTC say motorists should be alert for traffic delays and lane closures. Officials say flaggers will be on the scene to direct traffic through the work zone. The KYTC says appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers and personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.

Officials with the KYTC say work schedules and deadlines can be delayed or altered due to the weather.
