14 arrested in Yazoo County drug bust

YAZOO COUNTY, Miss. ( WJTV ) – Yazoo County deputies, along with the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics (MBN) and the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP), arrested 14 suspects during a bust.
The following arrests were made on Wednesday, April 24:
8 – DUI Other
1 – DUI refusal
1 – Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony)
1 – Tampering with evidence
5 – Marijuana in a motor vehicle
Yazoo County deputies said they seized three illegally possessed weapons, including an AR-15 style weapon that had a switch installed with more than 50 rounds of ammunition.

“These kinds of weapons are very dangerous and we are very glad to be able to successfully get them off the streets. These proactive collaborations will drive the criminal element out of Yazoo County and make this place safe again,” the sheriff’s office said.
