Frosty to 80° — see when temperatures spike

CLEVELAND (WJW) — A frost advisory is in effect for all of Northeast Ohio until 9 a.m. on Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures are expected to get down to 33°, causing frost to form in Ashland, Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Erie, Geauga, Huron, Lake, Lorain, Mahoning, Medina, Portage, Richland, Stark, Summit, Trumbull, Tuscarawas and Wayne counties.

The average last frost usually occurs before Mother’s Day.

Most of Friday will be dry and warmer. Temperatures quickly climb into the upper 60s and low 70s for the afternoon. Mostly sunny skies early in the day with clouds building in during the evening.

If you’re looking to spend an evening on the town Friday, you may want the umbrella as a few showers move in along a warm front.

Showers and rumbles of thunder possible after 7 p.m. through midday Saturday.

Saturday afternoon looks much drier and warmer with partly sunny skies. Winds will gust to 40 miles per hour at times throughout the day.

There is a slight chance of showers/thunder on Sunday, otherwise much warmer with temperatures topping 80°!

Temperatures will be above normal this weekend (70s and lower 80s by Sunday).

Next week features a brief drop in temperatures with the passage of another front Tuesday.
