UNION COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – A woman was arrested Wednesday for allegedly cutting and stabbing a man in Union.

The Union Police Department charged 34-year-old Sareema Rasean Bissielou with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature in regard to an incident that occurred on April 16.

Officers responded to the Union Medical Center where they encountered the victim with a cut on his left thigh, a stab wound on the left side of his abdomen, a wound to his right elbow and a wound on the left side of his head.

The victim told police the incident happened on West Henrietta Street near Tiger Court when he alleges Bissielou approached him and said “nasty things” to him. He admitted to retaliating and reported that Bissielou began swinging at him with something and cut his leg.

The victim continued reporting to authorities that he attempted to flee from Bissielou but had hit his head.

Officers learned that the suspect and victim have a mutual friend who lives where the incident took place but were not acquainted with one another. The mutual friend told law enforcement he did not witness the incident.

Further into the investigation led officers to identify Bissielou as the suspect in the stabbing.

Police located her Wednesday and booked her into the Union County Detention Center.
