(WTNH) — The Department of Labor launched an interactive map aimed at informing workers, unions, and the public about over 1,000 planned clean energy projects across the nation.

Aligned with the Biden-Harris administration’s focus on job creation and climate action, these projects offer potential for tens of thousands of good-paying jobs.

Under the Inflation Reduction Act, clean energy projects are incentivized to create high-quality, union jobs with prevailing wages and Registered Apprenticeship programs. The interactive map highlights projects eligible for enhanced federal tax credits if they meet these criteria.

“This map is a collaboration between the U.S. Department of Labor and other federal agencies to help ensure that the Biden-Harris administration’s historic climate investments create good-paying jobs,” said Acting Secretary Julie Su. “By producing new tools like this one, we are helping to facilitate partnerships between employers and unions that can yield worker-centric practices and valuable training opportunities for this wave of new clean energy jobs.”

Users can explore the map to sort projects by sector and state, accessing details like project location, status, size, participating companies, and estimated construction job numbers.

While drawn from publicly available data, the map does not confirm eligibility for federal tax incentives nor constitute federal taxpayer information.
