Hispanic Women’s Network of Texas Rio Grande Valley presents Lady in Red Scholarship Gala

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Hispanic Women’s Network of Texas Rio Grande Valley “Lady in Red” Scholarship Gala was created for the women of the Rio Grande Valley.

According to the organization, it is an opportunity to give back to the next generation of Latina leaders in a fun and unique way.

The proceeds from this event will provide the financial foundation of the Latinas in Progress Scholarship program.

Nominees for Lady in Red should be women who exhibit commitment and passion for community and public service.

In addition, the nominees should be supportive of the HWNT mission and exhibit the qualities of advocacy, education, professional development, and philanthropy.

They should be willing to invest in the future generation of Latina leaders by committing to make a monetary donation of $1,000. Each Lady in Red will be recognized at the April 2024 Lady in Red Scholarship Gala and be part of a “Passion Show” (as a Fashion Show) to celebrate our Madrinas and display their passion for empowering the next generation of Latina leaders.
