No primary election to be held for Caroline County Board of Education seats

The Caroline County’s Board of Education election for District 2 will go straight to the 2024 General Election ballot and will not be a part of the primary election on May 14.

According to the Caroline County Board of Election, this contest will not be on the primary election ballot because less than three candidates have filed for candidacy.

Candidates for local county offices file candidacy in the Election office. This contest appears on the Caroline County ballot along with the State and Federal offices that are up for election.

The sole candidate is Stefanie Johnson, who runs under the committee Stefanie Johnson for Caroline BOE. Caroline County has two Board of Education seats up for vote this year.

Caroline County residents can vote on November 5, 2024 either in person during early voting or on election day or by mail.
