DeWine orders flags at half-staff in honor of former ODOT director

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WKBN) – Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has ordered the U.S. flag and state flag to fly at half-staff in honor of the life and service of former ODOT Director Jerry Wray.

DeWine has ordered the flags to be flown at half-staff upon all Ohio Department of Transportation facilities now until sunset on the day of his funeral.

The flags should also be flown at half-staff upon all public buildings and grounds throughout Licking County, at the Ohio Statehouse, the Vern Riffe Center, and Rhodes State Office Tower now until sunset on the day of his funeral.

Wray was appointed to lead ODOT by former Governor George Voinovich. He ran the department from 1991 to 1999 and then again under former Governor John Kasich from 2011 to 2019.
