An arrest citation states that investigators found text messages between Samantha Osborn, 35, and inmate Jonathan Cundiff, 41, that included plans to sneak a “dip can” and vape pen containing methamphetamine into a deputy jailer’s car.

From there, court documents allege that deputy jailer Jerred Oney, 25, brought the “dip can” containing the drugs to Cundiff and fellow inmate Christopher Cochran, 37. In an interview with investigators, Oney said he believed the can only contained chewing tobacco.

On April 15, Oney was arrested and charged with official misconduct and promoting contraband. According to his arrest citation, the amount of drugs found in the investigation totaled “an 8 ball of meth.”
