Filing deadline for August primary: April 23 at 4 p.m.

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Scores of partisan elective offices are on the ballot on August 6 in Ingham, Eaton, Clinton, Jackson, and Hillsdale counties (and beyond). Every seat in the State House is also up for re-election this year.

The deadline for your name to appear on the ballot is Tuesday, April 23, 2024. To file, you need to provide your local clerk an affidavit of identity, and either file a set number of signed petitions from eligible voters in an area the elective office represents or pay a $100 filing fee.

Check with your local clerk for specifics on filing to run for a partisan office.

As of 5:30 p.m. Monday, April 22, 2024, here’s the list of offices to appear on the ballot in each county, the names of candidates who have filed, and their party affiliations.
