Two teenagers, 3 adults shot by driver in Dinwiddie neighborhood

DINWIDDIE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Five people, including two teenagers, were shot by a person firing a gun from their car in a Dinwiddie County neighborhood Monday morning.

According to the Dinwiddie County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a shooting report in the Sentry Woods neighborhood just after 8:30 a.m. on Monday, April 22.

When they arrived at the scene, deputies found that five people had been shot, including a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old.

According to the office, the suspect was driving through the neighborhood and shot at the five victims from their car.

Three arrested after police pursuit in Dinwiddie that ended in a foot chase

Four of these people are still in the hospital. All reportedly had injuries not considered life-threatening.

No other information, such as a description of the vehicle or the suspect involved, has been provided by authorities as of the time of reporting.

Additionally, the office was not yet able to confirm if a shooting of two vehicles in the nearby West Petersburg neighborhood — which took place shortly after the Sentry Woods incident — is thought to be related.
