Body of man last seen near Broad River Campground found

UPDATE | According to Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Gene Amos, the body of 24-year-old Dawson Brandon Lee has been discovered in Elbert County.

Lee had been missing since Thursday, April 18, when his car was found abandoned in Elbert County in the area of Broad River Campground.

Currently, the Elbert County Sheriff’s Office is assisting the Georgia Bureau of Investigations with the case.

LINCOLNTON, Ga. (WJBF) – Investigators are searching for 24-year-old Dawson Brandon Lee.

Lee was last seen on April 17. He was reportedly on foot on Lincolnton Highway, and was last seen in the area of Broad River Campground.

Investigators say he was last seen wearing glasses, a t-shirt and dark colored gym shorts.

His car was found abandoned in Elbert County, Georgia, and a missing persons report has been filed in Milledgeville.

Georgia State Patrol has been contacted to assist in the investigation from the air.
