For the second consecutive week, there’s a new No. 1 team in Hampton Roads.
Cox, which has won four in a row, moved to the top spot. The Falcons haven’t lost to a team in the state this season.
Previous No. 1 Great Bridge was beaten by Western Branch 6-0. It was revenge for the Bruins, who lost to the Wildcats earlier this month in the Hanahan Invitational Tournament championship game in Charleston, South Carolina.
The Bruins, however, also suffered a loss as they were upset by Lakeland, which improved to 8-3 and jumped into the Top 15.
First Colonial has won four in a row and five of its last six. The Patriots play No. 2 Cape Henry on Saturday.
Princess Anne, which has won five in a row, moved up four spots. The Cavaliers face No. 11 Landstown on Thursday.
And Bethel, which has won five in a row, faces No. 12 Gloucester twice this week.
