Erie County restaurant inspections for April 11-18, 2024

At least once a year, Erie County Department of Health officials inspect all restaurants and stores that sell unpackaged food. Here is a list of violations recorded April 11 through Thursday.

Three critical violations

Pampered Palate Cafe & Bistro, 745 Millcreek Mall. (Pesto found at 52 degrees when it should be 41 degrees or colder; blender being cleaned in handwash sink; person in charge did not demonstrate adequate knowledge of food safety.) Also three noncritical violations. Wednesday

Smokey Bones Bar and Fire Grill, 2074 Interchange Road, Millcreek Township. (No documentation or measurement of temperature of foods kept on the line, such as barbecue sauce; no drying method at hand sink; fish thawed in vacuum packages; barbecue sauce and brushes not changed every four hours.) Also two noncritical violations Wednesday

One critical violation

Dunkin, 4007 Buffalo Road, Harborcreek Township. (Mouse droppings found in back of dry stock area.) Also one noncritical violation. Tuesday

Suzie B's Pretzeltown Express, 290 Millcreek Mall, Millcreek Township. (No hand drying method at hand wash sink.) Wednesday

Czartoryski's Cafe, 302 Parade St. (No certified food manager on site.) Tuesday

Pizza Hut, 5050 Peach St., Millcreek Township. (Wing cooler was holding wings at 47 degrees. Cooler that holds topped pizzas was found holding pizzas at 44 degrees.) Monday

Noncritical violations

Namaste Indian-Nepali Kitchen, 5901 West Ridge Road, Fairview Township. Wednesday

Happy Garden, 418 State St. Monday
