(Dog of The Week is a regular feature by the Beaver County Humane Society seeking forever homes for adorable dogs.)

Good morning, friends. My name is Bonnie. I'm a spayed female, red and white Pit Bull Terrier mix. The shelter staff think I am about 5 years old. I weigh 48.5 pounds. I've been at the shelter since Feb 25.

Sometimes you can look in a doggie's eyes, and see that they've had a rough time of it, can't you? You can see the suffering there, and the pain, but in my eyes you can see something else as well.

Hope.

Because now I have a chance at a better life. I am so excited to meet my forever family and spend my days surrounded by humans who love me. And I'm certain my family is out there. I know I deserve a good home.

I am a sweetie pie and so friendly. I would do best as a single pet in a home with people aged teen and above. I'm not a hyperactive puppy. I'm a sophisticated, mature lady. And I'd love nothing more than to spend the rest of my days snuggling on the couch watching movies with my family.

That sounds like heaven to me, but I also love to play and go on long walks as well. My zoomies are the best, and I can't stop smiling when I am feeling extra happy.

Come meet me today! I'm sure that would put the biggest smile of all on my face. And maybe, just maybe, you'll be the humans I've been waiting for. Wouldn't that be the best thing ever?

Note: I am currently in foster. Please give the shelter a call if you'd like to meet me!
