In other news, the Vinton County Local School District posted this note to its website.

It was brought to our attention that bed bugs were found at Vinton County High School. As a precautionary measure, we had pest control inspect and treat the areas of concern. This was done before the start of school on 4/11. Protocol was followed with the treatment. Students were not permitted to re-enter the classrooms or areas until it was safe to do so, per the direction of the contracted service provider. Even though there was no evidence of infestation, we will continue to monitor the situation and keep you apprised if there are any new developments. We will continue to work with the necessary agencies to ensure concerns are resolved.
