It was a big win for Promise Fund of Florida, receiving $50,000 at the prestigious Florida Blue Sapphire Award Ceremony.

The Florida Blue Foundation honors individuals, organization and programs that have a record of improving people’s health and quality of life through leadership, innovative ideas, demonstrated outcomes and excellence.

“As I sat among an audience of 800 peers, I felt a sense of inspiration and reassurance that our model is indeed working to advance health care access for all women. I would like to extend a thank you to Florida Blue as well as a heartfelt congratulations to the other award winners, and our colleagues in South Florida whose invaluable contributions have helped to propel our mission forward,” said Nancy G. Brinker, co-founder of the Promise Fund of Florida.

The $50,000 award will further empower Promise Fund of Florida to continue its mission of increasing access to breast and cervical cancer screening, resources, and treatment. Founded in 2018, the fund helps women throughout South Florida overcome financial and cultural barriers to improve health equity. To date, the fund and its community partners have supported more than 26,000 women.
