HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Starting next year, a new law will require restaurants to post a request on menus and menus boards for customers to tell servers before they place an order if they have a food allergy.

The bill hopes to boost awareness of food allergies in more than 8,000 restaurants across Connecticut.
