Officers said the employee was in the area delivering pharmaceutical drugs when the suspects assaulted him and forced him into his work car.

The suspects then drove for a while before stealing the drugs. The suspects then left in a second car.

The victim had minor injuries.

A nearby pharmacy owner, who wished to remain anonymous, told DC News Now that some of the pharmaceuticals were being delivered to his store and others in the area. He said he’s faced several robbery attempts in the past.

“This area is a very troubled area. We’ve been trying to help this neighborhood, but it seems as if they just try to take some drugs all the time. … It’s very unfortunate that this happened,” the pharmacy owner said.

Prince George’s County police officials said they are actively searching for the suspects and the investigation is ongoing.
