Senior Farmers Market Vouchers to be given out in Anderson Co.

ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – A food assistance program that helps low-income seniors purchase produce from local farmers returns in June for eligible residents in Anderson County.

According to Anderson County, you must qualify to receive vouchers to buy fresh fruits and vegetables from authorized farmers.

To qualify, you must:

• be age 60 or older with a low income
• provide proof of identity and driver’s license or ID card
• provide proof that you live in Anderson County

If you qualify, the Senior Farmers Market Vouchers will be distributed on the dates and locations below:

• Wednesday, June 5 at Iva Farmer’s Market from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
• Thursday, June 6 at Belton Farmer’s Market from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
• Friday, June 7 at Anderson County Farmer’s Market from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
