Ashe County arrest reports

The following information was provided by the Ashe County Sheriff’s Office. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

April 8

William D. Dishman, 48, of West Jefferson, was charged with felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Dishman was released on April 10 under a $6,000 secured bond.

Zackary D. Jones, 21, of Creston, was charged with fleeing/eluding arrest with a motor vehicle and failure to heed light and siren. Jones is currently being held at the Ashe County Detention Center under a $25,000 secured bond.

Bernie C. Roten, 50, of Fleetwood, was charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle, driving with a revoked license and possession of drug paraphernalia. Roten was released on April 9 under an $8,000 secured bond.

April 9

Dawson W. Miller, 18, of West Jefferson, was charged with driving while impaired and driving after consuming alcohol under 21. Miller was released on April 9.

April 10

Gary D. Lewis, 48, of Mouth of Wilson, Virginia, was charged with felony probation violation. Lewis was released on April 10 under a $5,000 secured bond.

April 11

Dalton A. Winebarger, 27, of Todd, was charged with failure to appear on charges of breaking and/or entering, larceny after breaking/entering and felony larceny. Winebarger is currently being held at the Ashe County Detention Center under a $30,000 secured bond.

April 14

Jannie L. Dixon, 50, of Creston, was charged with felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Dixon is currently being held at the Ashe County Detention Center under a $3,500 secured bond.

Ronnie K. Grubb, 71, of West Jefferson, was charged with driving while impaired and driving with a revoked license. Grubb was released on April 14.

Steven E. Jernigan, 31, of Lamar, Arkansas, was charged with driving while impaired and driving without a license. Jernigan was released on April 14.

Mitchel L. Roark, 50, of Creston, was charged with carrying a concealed gun. Roark is currently being held at the Ashe County Detention Center under a $1,500 secured bond.
