The Ozarks dodged a bullet when it came to severe weather on Tuesday. While a warning or two was issued, the majority of storm reports began in Kansas and tracked north and east into Nebraska, Missouri and Iowa.

As the dryline quickly pushes through the Ozarks, we will be left with a dry night. With warm temperatures, the only downfall will be strong winds out of the south. Current wind gusts are near 40mph.

Once the storm clears the Ozarks, we will be set up for a nice day on Wednesday. Temperatures will be near 80°. Winds will be out of the west up to 20 mph.

The chance for severe weather will return on Thursday. While there are still some unknowns, it is looking like Thursday afternoon/evening will be the timeframe in question. The Storm Prediction Center has placed parts of the Ozarks under a slight and moderate risk for severe weather. At this time the tornado threat looks very low.

The cold front bringing the chance for strong storms will also drop the temperatures significantly for Friday. Temperatures will go back to near-normal.
