Hwy 169 closes, work resumes April 22

The final year of reconstruction gets underway next week as Hwy 169/210 closes between Aitkin and Hassman.

Detour through McGregor

April 22 until mid-Oct

Crews will first prepare work areas and set up the detour route, then close and reconstruct Hwy 169/210 from Co. Rd. 12 to Hwy 210.

Motorists will follow a detour along Co. Rd. 12 (400th Ave.) Aitkin, Hwy 47, Co. Rd. 4 (Dam Lake St.), Hwy 65 McGregor and Hwy 210.Access will be open and maintained to those who live, work or visit within the closed work zone. Expect changes to access, gravel or grooved road surfaces, flaggers, periodic stops and alternate one-way traffic. Please slow down, follow construction signs through the work zone and stay out of barricaded areas.

Future impacts

The project will require additional segments of road closures with detours.

Aitkin, mid-May to mid-July

Detour in Aitkin —Hwy 169/210 will close from the Ripple River bridge to Co. Rd. 12.

Hassman, late July to early Sept

Detour through Palisade : Crews will close and reconstruct the Hwy 169 and 210 intersection.
