Three workers injured after roof truss falls during construction in Chesterfield

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Three construction workers were injured in Chesterfield County after part of a roof they were working on fell.

According to the Chesterfield County Fire and EMS, crews responded to a house on the 10500 block of River Road in the southern part of the county at around 3:20 p.m. on Monday, April 15 for a report of a building collapse.

It was determined that construction crews were putting up roof trusses on a building that was under construction when one of the trusses fell.

Two construction workers were treated for minor injuries at the scene and a third was taken to a local hospital with an injury that is not considered-life threatening.

This incident is still under investigation.
