Defiance County grand jury indicts 12 persons

A Defiance County grand jury has returned indictments against 12 persons, according to Prosecutor Morris Murray’s office.

Indicted were:

• Correy Williams Jr., 22, 1051 Ralston Ave., for failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer, a third-degree felony; domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony; and OVI, a first-degree misdemeanor. Authorities allege that on March 28 he caused, or attempted to cause, physical harm to a family or household member, having had a prior domestic violence conviction. The charges further allege that while investigating the incident officers attempted to stop Williams while he was operating a motor vehicle on Dohoney Road, but he fled, creating a substantial risk of serious physical harm to persons or property in the area and reaching speeds exceeding 100 miles per hour until he lost control on Ayersville Avenue and crashed.

• Craig Koch, 51, Holgate, for failure to appear as required by recognizance, a fourth-degree felony. Authorities allege that on March 27 he failed to appear for a hearing in Defiance County Common Pleas Court after having been released on a personal-recognizance bond.

• Danielle Nash-Kleinhenn, 40, Continental, for three counts of failure to appear as required by recognizance, each a fourth-degree felony. Authorities allege that on April 1 she failed to appear for hearings in Defiance County Common Pleas Court after having been released on a personal-recognizance bonds in three cases.

• Cole Reynolds, 28, 1624 Woodhurst Drive, for domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony. Authorities allege that on April 4 at a residence on Village Lane, he caused, or attempted to cause, physical harm to a pregnant family or household member, having had a prior conviction for domestic violence.

• Taleya Thomas, 35, 324 Harrison Ave., for two counts of telecommunications fraud, each a fourth-degree felony. Authorities allege that on Oct. 19-20 he attempted to cash checks she knew to be fraudulent at a local bank.

• Douglas Thomas, 32, 1687 Durango Drive, for failure to appear as required by recognizance, a fourth-degree felony. Authorities allege that on April 2 he failed to appear for a hearing in Defiance County Common Pleas Court after having been released on a personal-recognizance bond.

• Shaiton Andrews-Hurley, 28, Indianapolis, for breaking and entering, theft and forgery, each a fifth-degree felony. Authorities allege that on Nov. 3 Andrews-Hurley trespassed in a business on Jefferson Avenue, stole a check from the business and forged it.

• Stephanie Bell, 40, Muncie, Ind., for aggravated possession of drugs (methamphetamine), a fifth-degree felony, and OVI, a first-degree misdemeanor.

• Betty Branham, 32, Oakwood, for aggravated possession of drugs (amphetamine), a fifth-degree felony.

• Richard Roddy II, 46, 07640 Ohio 15, for aggravated possession of drugs (methamphetamine), a fifth-degree felony.

• Roger Rowe, 42, 1505 E. Second St., for improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, a fifth-degree felony; and OVI, a first-degree misdemeanor. Authorities allege that on March 16 on Ohio 15 he knowingly transported a loaded firearm in a motor vehicle which he was operating while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, and the firearm was accessible to him without leaving the vehicle.

• Dennis Tindle, 28, Shelbyville, Ind., for aggravated possession of drugs (methamphetamine), a fifth-degree felony.
