Topline:

Fares for Metro Micro, the agency’s rideshare program, has gone up from $1 to $2.50 base fare per ride. Metro said the fee hikes will make the program “more financially sustainable.”

New fares: Under the new fee structure, Metro Micro riders can transfer for free to Metro Bus and Rail. To transfer to Metro Micro, riders will have to pay 75 cents.

Seniors, people with a disability and low income residents enrolled in the Low-Income Fare is Easy (LIFE) program are eligible for 20 free rides on Metro Micro. After that they will have to pay the $2.50 fare.
