Man missing from Jackson County, West Virginia, found

UPDATE: (11:50 a.m. Friday, March 29) – The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says Randy Wilcox has been found after going missing Wednesday.

The sheriff’s office released the following statement on the investigation:

“Mr. Wilcox has been found. Many thanks and much gratitude goes out to the entire law enforcement and first responder community today for the unified effort in searching for Mr. Wilcox. Please be respectful and keep his family in your thoughts and prayers moving forward.”


JACKSON COUNTY, WV (WOWK) – Authorities are asking for the public’s help to find a man missing from Jackson County, West Virginia.

According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, 64-year-old Randy Wilcox was last known to be in the Gay Road area shortly after 8 a.m. Wednesday, March 27. Deputies say his truck was found abandoned in a rural area of Jackson County “with no obvious signs or explanations” regarding Wilcox’s condition or whereabouts.

Missing Persons in the Tri-State

The vehicle is a late-90s model sliver Dodge truck, and he was last seen wearing a blue Carhartt hoodie and blue jeans.

Anyone with any information regarding Wilcox’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office at 304-373-2290 or through their Facebook page .
