Upon arrival, a woman recounted to the police that two unidentified men forcibly entered her home, demanding money. They purportedly claimed to have her son, 47-year-old David Winchester Jr., and threatened harm unless she complied with their monetary demands. The suspects absconded from the premises without the ransom.

Upon extinguishing the fire, responders discovered the bodies of a 3-year-old girl and a 1-year-old girl inside the vehicle.
