LAVACA COUNTY, Texas - Incumbent Lavaca County Sheriff Micah Harmon said he is trying to reach more voters as he heads into a runoff May 28. He faces Steven Greenwell in the runoff election. Sheriff Harmon had 33% of the vote in the primary election and Greenwell had 43%. A third opponent had 24% of the vote.

Sheriff Harmon said running for reelection is a challenge as he has to continue working full-time as sheriff, but he hopes voters will show up to support him on May 28.
