Update

JASPER COUNTY, Mo. — An update has come from the Jasper County Sheriff’s office regarding the shooting and death of Travis Wyrick, 37, a story we brought you earlier this week. Officials say an autopsy has been scheduled for Thursday, March 28, 2024.

The investigation is still ongoing, and additional details will be released as they become available.

Previously

Jasper County Deputies responded to a call for shots fired at Hillbilly Pumping and Hauling near Schifferdecker and Zora Road on Monday morning (3/25). There, Wyrick was found dead.

Jasper County Sheriff Randee Kaiser has said his office is still investigating the shooting and doesn’t believe the incident poses an immediate threat to the public.
