Local roundup: Where to hunt for eggs and meet the Easter Bunny this weekend

The sun is starting to come out and spring is in the air, just in time for Easter weekend.

The Chronicle has compiled a list of free events celebrating the spring holiday across Lewis County and South Thurston County. To have an event added to this list at chronline.com, email news@chronline.com .

Saturday, March 30

• Tenino Market Fresh Easter Egg Hunt: 8 a.m., Tenino Market Fresh, 669 Lincoln Ave. E, Tenino. Kids 12 and under are invited to participate.

• Toledo Market Fresh Easter Egg Hunt: 8 a.m., Toledo Market Fresh, 400 Cowlitz St., Toledo. Kids 12 and under are invited to participate.

• Sticklins Funeral Easter Egg Hunt: 9 a.m. at Sticklins Funeral Chapel, 1437 S. Gold St., Centralia. All ages are welcome.

• Mossyrock 2024 Easter Egg Hunt: 10 a.m. in the front lawn of the Mossyrock Elementary School, 545 Williams St., Mossyrock. Organized by the Mossyrock Fire Department. Kids ages 1 to 12 are invited to participate.

• Rochester Easter Egg Dash: 10 a.m. at Rochester High School, 19800 Carper Road, SW, Rochester. Organized by the West Thurston Regional Fire Authority. Kids ages 2 to 12 are invited to participate.

• Skookumchuck Grange and Tenino FFA Easter Egg Hunt: 10 a.m., Skookumchuck Grange, 5345 Skookumchuck Road SE, Tenino. A $5 pancake breakfast will be served from 9 to 11 a.m.

• Sasquatch Family Farms Easter Egg Hunt: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sasquatch Family Farms, 155 Buckley Road, Toledo.

• Spring on the Farm: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wanderlust Cupcake Co., 4800 Skookumchuck Road SE, Tenino. A free Easter egg hunt and Easter bunny photos will be available during a spring market event.

• Vader Lions Club Easter Egg Hunt: 11 a.m. at Vader Preschool Fields. Kids ages 4 to 13 are invited to participate.

• Brown Mortuary Easter Egg Hunt: 11 a.m. at Brown Mortuary, 812 Westlake Ave., Morton. All ages are welcome.

• Littlerock Egg Dash: noon at the Littlerock Fire Station, 10928 Littlerock Road SW, Olympia. Organized by the West Thurston Regional Fire Authority. Kids ages 2 to 12 are invited to participate.

• Onalaska Community Easter Egg Hunt: noon at Carlisle Park, 446 Carlisle Ave., Onalaska.

• Easter Egg Hunt at The Huntting’s Farm: 3 p.m. at Huntting’s Farm, 600 Cinebar Road, Cinebar. Kids ages 0 to 12 can participate for free. Kids and adults ages 13 and up can participate for $5 per person.

• Easter Bunny Photos and Egg Hunt: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.. at Let’s Play Something, 109 N. Tower Ave., Centralia. The Easter Bunny will be on hand for photos from noon to 4 p.m. Children of all ages and families are invited to participate. No professional photographer will be available, but staff are willing to help take family photos.

Sunday, March 31

• Easter Sunrise Service: 6:15 a.m., Brown Mortuary, 812 Westlake Ave., Morton. The community event will include an early-morning service with music and prayer, led by various churches in the Morton area.

• Third Annual Tenino Eagles Adult Easter Egg Hunt: 9 a.m., downtown Tenino. Eggs will be hidden in and around Tenino businesses. Organized by Tenino #564 Fraternal Order of Eagles.

• Free Easter Meals: 10 a.m. until food runs out, Chevron station at 520 S. Tower Ave., Centralia. Meals will be served to “anybody and everybody” in to-go boxes and will consist of spaghetti with meatballs, rolls and a cookie.

• Easter Service and Egg Hunts: 10 a.m. at Cooks Hill Community Church, 2400 Cooks Hill Road, Centralia. Toddlers and kids in grades six and under are invited to participate. Refreshments will be served following the service.

• Easter Egg Hunt at Insert Coin: 11 a.m. at Insert Coin, 309 N. Tower Ave., Centralia. Ages 6 and under start at 11 a.m. and ages 7 and up start at 11:30 a.m.

• Adult Egg Hunt: noon to 4 p.m., Jones Creek Brewing, 173 Beam Road, Chehalis.

• Mineral’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Bake Sale: 1:30 p.m. at Mineral Lake Lions Den Campground, 113 Front St. E., Mineral. Bake sale proceeds support the Food4Kids backpack program benefiting Morton School District students.
