Group wanted in church burglary, vandalism in Montgomery County

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — Police said they were looking for three people who broke into a church and vandalized it.

The Montgomery County Department of Police (MCDP) said officers went to Wheaton Community Church, located at 3211 Paul Dr., around 3:20 p.m. on March 20 after they received a report about burglary there.

Investigators determined that three people went into the church earlier and vandalized it with a fire extinguisher.

The police department asked that anyone with information about the people involved in the burglary or the incident, in general, call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County at 1-866-411-8477 or share tips online . People also are able to provide information through the P3 Tips app .

People are able to remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward from $250 to $10,000 if information leads to an arrest.
