NEW DETAILS: FHP details how a truck overturned on I-10 in Madison County

Lanes have re-opened. Traffic is moving eastbound on I-10 again.

UPDATE 3:55 P.M.

Florida Highway Patrol released new details about the crash that led to major delays on Interstate 10 Wednesday afternoon. The crash involved a 35-year-old truck driver from Gulfport, Mississippi. FHP said the driver was not hurt. As of 3:55 p.m., the truck had been removed from the roadway.

FHP REPORT:

The Florida Highway Patrol is on scene of a traffic crash involving an overturned semi-tractor trailer on Interstate 10 at the 246 eastbound mile marker in Madison County.

The semi-tractor trailer was traveling eastbound in the outside eastbound lane of Interstate 10 when the vehicle drifted onto the southern shoulder of the roadway and collided with several concrete traffic barriers.

As a result of this collision, the driver of the semi-tractor trailer lost control of the vehicle and the vehicle overturned onto its right side. This resulted in both of the eastbound lanes being blocked.

Currently traffic is being routed off of Interstate 10 at the 241-exit due to the recovery and cleanup of the vehicle. There were no injuries associated with this incident.

Florida Highway Patrol is responding to a crash leading to extensive delays along Interstate 10 in Madison County.

According to the FHP incident map, they responded to the crash near mile marker 246 around 1:15 p.m. Wednesday.

Injuries are reported with the crash, but it's unclear how many people were hurt.

According to Florida 511 , the crash on I-10 eastbound has all lanes closed on that side. Traffic is being diverted around the crash site at the exit for US 221 near mile marker 241.
