In development since September 2022, a new hotel called Hotel Henrietta is preparing to open in Uptown at 3500 St. Charles Ave. and it will feature both a cocktail bar and restaurant.

The five-story, 40-room hotel was built by local developer Jayson Seidman and his hospitality company Sandstone . Online images posted to Booking.com reveal the hotel has a mid-century modern look, upscale accommodations and front-facing balconies. According to a press release, local bagel shop Flour Moon will have an outpost inside the hotel and offer its signature bagels, spreads, and open-faced bagel ‘toasts’ called tartines from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. After 3 p.m., the hotel will offer a curated menu of cocktails and bites from Paul Terrebonne , who oversees the food and beverage programs at two other Sandstone properties, the Columns hotel and Fives raw bar. The front desk at Hotel Henrietta will pull triple duty, handling reception, espresso bar and craft cocktail responsibilities.

Through his company Sandstone, Seidman currently owns or has an ownership stake in the Hotel St. Vincent , The Drifter and Columns hotels. According to reports, high demand for rooms at the nearby Columns and St. Vincent hotel inspired Seidman to break ground on Hotel Henrietta back in 2022. Together, the three hotels will be able to accommodate 140 guests.
