Nicole Kugler Bidwill, the sister-in-law to Arizona Cardinals owner Michael Bidwill, was arrested in Paradise Valley on June 9, an arrest report shows.

An arrest report provided to the Daily Independent shows Nicole was taken into custody in the 4800 block of east Pebble Ridge Road at 6:13 p.m. June 9.

The arrest report shows Nicole was arrested on charges of assault - intentionally or recklessly causing physical injury.

Bidwill Jr. allegedly told Paradise Valley police that his wife had struck him “about a hundred times” before she broke a glass of beer over his head, Bleacher Report and TMZ Sports reported. The news outlets report that Bidwill Jr. told police he briefly fought back in self-defense.

News reports state Bidwill Jr. did not want to press charges.

The Arizona Cardinals reportedly sent the following statement to TMZ Sports on the issue:

“Two weeks ago, Nicole Kugler Bidwill was involved in an incident that resulted in her arrest. This is a difficult time for their family but her husband and children love her very much and are thankful that she is currently receiving the help she needs. They ask that their family’s privacy be respected as they deal with this challenging personal situation.”
