Someone Said Men Shouldn’t Eat Soup, and Craig Conover Is Not Having It
The Southern Charm-er is known for his love of soup, so he had to clap back at a video claiming “men should not have soup ever.”
Although we've gotten to know Craig Conover very well throughout eight seasons of Southern Charm, last year, his girlfriend Paige DeSorbo revealed a new "Craig fact" we weren't aware of: He's really, really passionate about one type of food in particular.
In a January 2022 TikTok video, the Summer House cast member shared, "He eats soup [every day]," and weeks later, Craig showed just how much of a soup aficionado he really is. In a February 2022 Instagram Story, Craig documented his "fire" lunch order from Panera Bread, which included three soups for himself: Chicken noodle ("obviously a standard"), broccoli cheddar (his "favorite"), and wild chicken rice.
More recently, Craig defended his go-to meal in response to a comment that "men cannot eat soup." On February 1, Barstool Sports' Instagram account shared a video from the Please End This podcast, in which host Caroline Baniewicz jokingly declared, "Men should not have soup ever," as part of a longer rant on the subject.
Well, Craig was having none of that. "All soups are awesome," he commented on the post. "Except for cold soups. If French onion soup is on the menu it’s getting ordered no matter what."
As seen in a post by Comments by Bravo, Paige replied to Craig's comment in a hilarious way. Referencing a now-viral moment between Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande, Paige wrote to her boyfriend, "Ariana what are you doing here."
On Comments by Bravo's post, Baniewicz clarified: "I have to add that this was apart of a segment where we say insanely hot takes as a joke. So men, yes you can enjoy soup. But I do stand by that chili feels more manly than chicken noodle."
