BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men's basketball team returns home to Stabler Arena to take on Boston University in a Patriot League matchup as the Mountain Hawks look to extend their win streak to eight games. Tip-off is set for 12 p.m. and the game will be televised on CBS Sports Network.

Lehigh (12-8, 7-2 PL) enters the game on a seven-game winning streak after earning the series sweep of Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass. on Wednesday night, defeating the Crusaders 74-68. Senior
Evan Taylor led a trio of Mountain Hawks that reached double-digits, scoring 17 points with 12 coming in the first half, to go with a team-high six rebounds and one assist. This is Taylor's 13th consecutive game scoring at least 10 points and he has done so in 18 of 20 games this season. Sophomore
Keith Higgins Jr. ended the night with 16 points, including a couple of clutch three-pointers down the final stretch of the second half. He also contributed three boards, two steals and an assist in his fourth straight game reaching double-digits. Sophomore
Tyler Whitney-Sidney tossed in 14 points and shot 46.2 percent (6-for-13) from the field to go along with three rebounds.
Taylor, Higgins Jr. and
Tyler Whitney-Sidney are averaging 13-plus points for the Mountain Hawks. Taylor is contributing 14.8 points with 6.4 rebounds per contest while Higgins Jr. averages 14.4 points per game and 1.9 assists per outing. Whitney-Sidney rounds out the double-digit scorers with 13.4 points per outing, a team-leading 30 steals and 2.1 assists per game, and 4.7 rebounds.

Boston University (10-12, 3-6 PL) enters Sunday's game coming off a home loss to Colgate (64-51) inside Case Gym on Monday night. Graduate student Walter Whyte led BU with 11 points to move up to No. 9 in the program record book at 1,533 points. Classmate Fletcher Tynen was the other Terrier in double figures at 10 points with six rebounds. BU and Lehigh have only one non-league opponent in common, Marist, which both squads came away victorious. Other big opponents that the Terriers have gone up against include UConn (L 86-57) and Notre Dame (L 81-75).
Two Terriers are averaging double-digits, led by Walter Whyte, scoring at a clip of 14.0 points and bringing down 5.7 rebounds a game. Whyte also leads the squad in blocked shots with 13. Jonas Harper is averaging 10 points per outing and a team-high in made three-pointers (36) and steals (28). Just outside of double-figures is Ethan Brittain-Watts, scoring 9.5 points per game and leads BU with 46 assists.

BU leads the series 12-8 and has defeated the Mountain Hawks in six of the last ten games between the two squads. The Terriers have claimed the last three meetings, with Lehigh's last victory over BU coming inside of Stabler Arena in February of 2020 when the Mountain Hawks won 57-55 in overtime.
The Mountain Hawks are back in Stabler Arena on Wednesday, Feb. 1 to host Army West Point to conclude the regular season series. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on ESPN+ and Fox Sports Radio 94.7 FM and 1230 AM.
