PHEONIX — A man was sentenced to six and a half years in prison for his role in trafficking methamphetamine in Arizona, officials said.

Luis Jesus Hernandez previously plead guilty to one count of illegally conducting an enterprise, Attorney General Mark Brnovich said in a press release.

Hernandez was seen conducting a drug transaction in a parking lot and arrested him while he had nearly 45 pounds of methamphetamine in his vehicle on July 2021.

He was sentenced earlier this year by a Maricopa County Superior Court judge.

The case was investigated by the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
