PHOENIX – Pop star Justin Bieber has postponed the remaining dates of his North American tour, including a stop in metro Phoenix again, for health reasons.

The Justice World Tour show at Gila River Arena scheduled for June 30 was pulled “in light of Justin’s recovery,” the Glendale facility announced on its website.

Bieber took to social media last week to reveal that he was suffering from partial paralysis in his face caused by a virus.

Ramsay Hunt syndrome occurs when a shingles outbreak affects the facial nerves near the ear, the Mayo Clinic website says.

“Justin continues to receive the best medical care possible, is upbeat about his recovery, and is looking forward to getting back out on the road and performing for his fans overseas later this summer,” according to the arena.

Refunds will be available at point of purchase when the new dates are set, and tickets will be honored for the rescheduled dates.

It’s the fourth time the 28-year-old Canadian has delayed what would be his first Valley appearance since 2016.

Bieber was originally scheduled to perform at State Farm Stadium in the summer of 2020, but that was postponed when the concert industry shut down because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The stadium show was moved to June 2021 and downsized to Gila River Arena. But the entire 2021 tour was later pushed back a year because of the pandemic.

The Glendale appearance was reset for Feb. 22, 2022, but that had to be delayed because of a COVID situation within in the tour.
