The driver was found hiding inside the Bangor garage, according to Maine State Police.

A man was found hiding inside a garage in Bangor after crashing into it, according to Maine State Police. The agency says Preston Kay, 19, of Brewer was arrested and faces charges including eluding an officer and operating under the influence. According to investigators, around 10 p.m. Saturday a trooper tried to stop a car seen driving 100 miles per hour from Hermon into Bangor. The trooper stated that the driver failed to stop and started making dangerous passes.The agency says the decision was made to stop the pursuit out of an abundance of caution. “The suspect vehicle was later found crashed into a garage on Randolph Street in Bangor and the driver had fled the scene,” a release from the agency stated. State police say an investigation determined Kay was behind the wheel, driving with a suspended license and active outstanding warrants for his arrest. Police found Kay hiding inside the garage before he was brought to a hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
