Stolen Vehicle Crash Terminates Pursuit

South Park, Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department Newton division officers were in pursuit of a stolen vehicle Wednesday night when the vehicle was involved in a crash.

The pursuit terminated when the vehicle crashed into a mini van at the intersection of 55th Street and Broadway in the South Park neighborhood within South Los Angeles at approximately 11:30 p.m. LAPD officers took the suspect into custody shortly after the collision.

The mini van was traveling northbound on Broadway when the suspect in a red sedan traveled westbound through the intersection causing the collision. The victim in the van was uninjured. The suspect was transported by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics to a local area hospital to be treated and evaluated for injuries.
